This policy explains what happens to information when you use Plain North. Effective August 4, 2026.
Browser-based tools
Most calculators, converters, image tools, PDF tools, and generators run on your device. Files and values used by those tools are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to a Plain North server.
AI writing tools
When you intentionally select Generate in an AI writing tool, the text you provide is sent through a protected Plain North server endpoint to an AI service provider so the requested result can be created. Do not submit passwords, financial account details, medical records, or other highly sensitive information.
Downloaded models and supporting services
Some browser-based tools download processing models or software components from third-party delivery services. Those providers may receive ordinary technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, and request time.
Hosting, analytics, and diagnostics
Plain North is hosted by Vercel. Like most hosting services, it may process basic access, security, and diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect the website. When the permanent domain launches, Plain North may enable Google Analytics to understand page visits and broad tool actions such as opening a tool or downloading a result. Analytics does not receive the text, numbers, images, PDFs, or other file contents used inside tools.
Local storage and cookies
Large processing models may be cached by your browser so later uses are faster. Advertising and behavioral-tracking cookies are not currently enabled. This policy and any required consent controls will be updated before advertising or additional tracking is introduced.
Your choices
You can clear cached site data through your browser and use browser privacy controls to limit cookies or analytics. Contact details for privacy requests are available on the Contact page once the permanent domain is connected.
Changes
As Plain North adds accounts, advertising, or paid features, this policy will be updated to describe those features before they are launched.
